We are very pleased to announce the arrival of our Desert Speed Buick nailhead spark plug side covers.
With 5 classic fins running the length of the covers, our signature vintage star breaks everything up ever so nicely & complements the overall feel just right!
It’s vintage, it’s clean, it’s functional & damn doesn’t it look like the factory should’ve offered them!!
They are available in 2 variations;
- Cast
- Polished
These units are subject to foundry supply, machining & also polishing wait times. We will be in touch if there’s any abnormal wait with the products.
The covers also come with provisions cut out for ease of spark plug lead avenues. However, please check your lead clearance (cover to head etc) and if needed you may require clearancing more to suit your application. Desert Speed DOES NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP OF FAULTY LEADS AFTER INSTALL OF PRODUCT! Please check clearance carefully & fit accordingly.
Even though the side covers can be adapted to all nailheads, they may not be suitable for your particular application. Please check your clearances from power steer pump & all other items that may protrude into the area proposed for cover installation. If the person/s attempting to fit these are not competent in doing so, please involve a capable professional.
Some of the earlier nailheads also using the side protruding studs for sealing inside the cylinder head.
Desert Speed DOES NOT advise anything to do with sealing or tampering with these studs, nor do we take ownership of possible leaks. Please seek professional advice/help if needed.
